Two additional deaths of influenza were reported from Cloverdale Township Saturday as a result of the epidemic of the disease that is raging in that vicinity.

The latest victims of the disease were Dudley Lasley age 65 years of Poplar Grove and Henry Allen, residing 10 miles west of Cloverdale.

Mr. Lasley died at his home Friday night following a week's illness of the disease.  He is survived by two children, a son, Fred Lasley of Indianapolis and a daughter, Mrs. William Alkire east of Cloverdale.  Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock t the home with interment in Cloverdale Cemetery.

Henry Allen, residing west of Cloverdale died Saturday morning after a short illness.  He is survived by a son and daughter.

Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Hunter of Cloverdale are seriously ill at their home suffering of influenza.

Mrs. William Cunningham is very ill at her home at Cloverdale of influenza.

Cloverdale schools remained closed the past week in an effort to combat the spread of the disease. They are scheduled to reopen Monday. The present damp, wet weather is considered an aid in the spread of influenza.

Mrs. Elizabeth Sherrill, age 82 years, an influenza victim  will be buried at Cloverdale, Sunday morning. Over in Jefferson Township funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth McCammack another victim of influenza.

Other sections of the county have reported a few deaths due to the disease but the epidemic apparently is centered in and around Cloverdale.  = kbz
